About Mikov:

    The MIKOV Company is one of the oldest knife companies in the Czech Republic (former Czechoslovakia). Established in 1794 by Ignac Rosler it quickly became the leading producer of quality cutlery in its region. In 19th century the company had two factories - Sandrik and Koh-I-Noor. In 1955 those two factories united and MIKOV company was found. Nowadays MIKOV is the biggest knife company in the Czech Republic - a producer of a wide variety of folding knives, fixed blades, kitchen cutlery, scissors and office equipment.

It is possible to say that if there is any traditional knife in our country it must be a Mikov folder.

Materials: Mikov knives are mostly made of 420 stainless steel. Handle material varies from plastic (in many colors) to wood and real stag. Some folders (lock backs) can be ordered with handles made of plastic resembling stag.  

About myself:

I work as a buyer fora chip maufacturer. I have many hobbies (travelling, taking pictures, computers) and one of them is collecting knives. As a knife collector I participate in  knife-related forums and it was only matter of time before I was asked whether I could get MIKOV autos. I called the company and was able to establish quite close relationship with their sales department – and that is how my little Mikov business started.
